The Odyssey is having a golden run in its overseas market. In Korea, the film is very close to achieving the $100 million milestone. Christopher Nolan’s directorial, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Anne Hathaway, was released in theatres over two months ago. The film has already crossed $1 billion in its overseas market.

The Odyssey has now become the 3rd highest-grossing Hollywood film in Korea, surpassing Frozen 2 ($87.2 million) and Aladdin ($91 million). The film has earned $91.6 million cumulatively after its 7th weekend. It is also the 5th biggest in admissions, beating Infinity War. The film has entered the top 5 most tickets sold by a Hollywood film in Korea. The film has sold 11.2 million tickets, surpassing Avatar: The Way of Water (10.8 million) and Avengers: Infinity War (11.2 million).

The Odyssey Beats Inside Out 2 Globally

The Matt Damon-starrer had collected a total of $1.72 billion worldwide, with its domestic contribution totaling $609.8 million. Just days ago, The Odyssey had surpassed Jurassic World’s $1.67 billion global run to become Universal’s highest-grossing film ever. Now, it has surpassed the global box office of the animated film Inside Out 2, which collected $1.7 billion. With this, The Odyssey became the 11th highest-grossing film of all time globally. Currently, The Odyssey eyes a $1.8-$1.9 billion worldwide run.
