Corrections Policy

We publish corrections in public, on the story itself, and we say what changed.

What we correct

Any error of fact, however small. Typographical fixes that do not change meaning are made silently; anything that alters the sense of a sentence carries a note.

How corrections appear

A dated note at the foot of the article records what was wrong and what it now says. The original claim is described rather than quietly deleted, so the record stays legible.

Requesting a correction

Write to the corrections address with the article, the passage and the correct information. We aim to respond within two working days.
