Since the first installment was highly successful and popular, expectations for the sequel were very high, but negative reviews made it a disaster. How much did Sardar 2 earn at the Indian box office in 9 days?
The Tamil spy action thriller saw a massive reduction in its show count on the second Friday. On Thursday, it had 1,911 shows, which dipped to 356. It could be seen that 1,555 shows were chopped off, which is a big number. Due to it and negative word of mouth, the film scored just 19 lakh on day 9, a 62% drop from day 8’s 50 lakh.
Overall, Sardar 2 has earned just 15.24 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 17.98 crore gross. From here, it is heading for a lifetime collection of below 20 crore net.
